The idea of OneBigSoup was apparently contributed by [[Mattis Manzel]] and picked up by [[Lion Kimbro]]. It is an offshoot of [[InterWiki]]. OneBigSoup starts from the idea of [[OneBigWiki]], which means connecting all wikis together, and goes a step further towards connecting together all communications software. The [http://communitywiki.org/en/OneBigSoup OneBigSoup] page on [[CommunityWiki]] explains: :On CommunityWiki, we no longer look at [[InterWiki]] as the ultimate in networking wiki. Rather, we believe in networking WikiEngines with all [[SocialSoftware]]. When all communications software (see SocialSoftware) are integrated, we call the resulting mix: “OneBigSoup.” On the same page, [[Lion Kimbro]] states that he started a [[LocalNames]] project as a first step in a OneBigSoup project, explaining that [[LocalNames]] mixes InterWiki ideas with the larger software world. The CommunityWiki [http://communitywiki.org/en/OneBigSoup OneBigSoup] page continues: :There are hoards of projects working towards the general OneBigSoup ideal. The OneBigSoup project is just specially mentioned here, because it is has close social ties with CommunityWiki. ==Links== *OneBigSoup page on CommunityWiki: http://communitywiki.org/en/OneBigSoup *[[Lion Kimbro]]'s [[OneBigSoup Wiki]]: http://onebigsoup.wiki.taoriver.net [[Category: Wiki Concepts]]
