Beck has pioneered software patterns, the rediscovery of Test-driven development and the commercial application of Smalltalk. Beck popularised CRC cards with Ward Cunningham and created the JUnit unit testing framework along with Erich Gamma. Kent Beck has an M.S. degree in computer science from the University of Oregon.
