After having successfully created the separate Convivial Tools Database at http://convivialtools.net, I converted the front page of this website to make it the "Wikis Database". I also modified the categories to put everything dealing with Convivial Tools into the background, ready to be deleted some time in the future, and to put everything dealing with wikis into the foreground.<br>

I succeeded in creating "convivialtools.net." To create the DNS domaine in Ouvaton I had to first buy one DNS (for 5 Euros!). Ouvaton is supposed to give me 3 DNS for free, and I thought I had none, since my websites so far we are in the sub-domaines of "ouvaton.org".

Anyhow I created the webspace "convivialtools.net", installed the [[MediaWiki]] software in it, and then properly linked the DNS "convivialtools.net" to the website by configuring my Gandi DNS account.

This morning I downloaded all of the Convivial Tools pages from this website using an XML Dump, and then uploaded them into "convivialtools.net." I've now got a separate Convivial Tools Database site with a proper DNS, and can convert the present site into the Wikis Database.

I've recovered for my own use a wiki site that I had created for someone else, but which they never used. My plan is to keep the present site for use as the Convivial Tools Database (or rather, the copy of it that will have the URL "convivialtools.ouvaton.org"). All the other stuff, such as [[RainDog's Second Rant|Rants]], [[GING]], [[:Category:MediaWiki]] and so on, will be transferred to my personal wiki.

I might keep this "toolswiki" site as a special site concentrating on data about wikis. The name partly fits, since it has "wiki" in it, but this would be in the sense of a "site about wikis," rather than in the sense of "this site is a wiki."
